Oh My Gate!

It has been lots of fun learning new skills to put up the entrance gate to the Forest School. We used two timber posts and then bolted them to concrete posts at the bottom to prevent damage from rot (inevitable with the Great British weather!). We then chiselled out a flat surface for the hinges to lie flush on, and then after a bit of drilling, we have a functioning gate that will hopefully last for years to come! We’re having to wait for the weather to stop raining before painting the gate, but it feels great to have this done. The concrete and timber posts and pallet gate were all on site already, taking upcycling to the extreme! Shout out to my husband for being so patient and helping me!
